Included in my January 6th post was a scanned image of one of the postcards I received from the Family Businesses for Affordable Energy. In that photo, you can clearly see the topic of today's post: the polling firm name.
Because I believe in complete transparency, and because this issue is so important, I wanted to share an email I received from Alex Ayers of Family Businesses for Affordable Energy (FBAE) as well as my response to him. Mr. Ayers made some allegations against me in his email concerning comments I made at council on the 16th about the polling firm FBAE listed on their postcard. I responded with my postcard as evidence showing his email had a different spelling/full name from that on the postcard mailed to Destin citizens. I also invited Mr. Ayers to come as my guest to a council meeting so we can all discuss their concerns, in public with Gulf Power (who I cc'd), in a public forum. My goal is working together to provide the best, most reliable and affordable service to the people of Destin- and it sounds like theirs is as well. With these mutual goals, we should all be able to work together.
These are the emails both to and from Mr. Ayers (as well as the postcard image once again):
